The Process
From Concept to
Custom Tattoo
Every tattoo I create is a one-of-a-kind piece. Whether you come with your own artwork or just an idea, I'll work with you to design something unique. Here's what to expect.
Step 01
Consultation
It all starts with a conversation. Reach out by email at info@natetattoos.com, DM me on Instagram @nate_tattoos, or call 519-870-8878.
Tell me about the tattoo you're envisioning — the style, placement, size, and any reference images you have. I'm happy to work from your own artwork and adjust it, or create something completely custom from scratch.

Step 02
Custom Design
Once we've discussed your vision, I get to work on the design. Every piece I tattoo goes through my hands — I create custom artwork for each client, or adapt and refine artwork you bring in. I don't tattoo designs that aren't my own work.
You'll see the design before your session and we'll make any adjustments together until it's exactly right.
Step 03
Tattoo Session
Sessions range from one hour for smaller pieces to full-day sittings for large-scale work. Larger projects like sleeves and back pieces are completed over multiple sessions.
I work out of Village Tattoo Company at 898 Dundas St. in London, Ontario — a clean, comfortable, professional environment.

“I don't just tattoo designs — I create them.”
Step 04
Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to getting the best result from your tattoo. I offer two proven methods — here's a quick overview of each.
Second Skin
I'll apply a single piece of medical-grade transparent film after your session. Leave it on for 4–5 days — fluid collecting underneath is completely normal. When it's time, peel it off slowly under warm running water and begin moisturizing with unscented lotion.
Traditional Bandage
Leave the bandage on overnight and remove it the next morning. Wash 2–3 times daily with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. No lotion for the first 3 days. Start moisturizing with a thin layer of unscented lotion around day 4.
Both Methods — Avoid for 2 Weeks
Swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and baths • Direct sunlight and tanning beds • Picking or scratching peeling skin • Tight clothing over the tattoo
Long-term: Wear SPF 50 sunscreen on your tattoo whenever you're in the sun.
If you notice signs of infection (spreading redness, swelling, warmth, discharge, fever), contact your family doctor or visit a walk-in clinic. You can also reach out to me and I'll take a look.
